Happy Customers

Here are a few of our customers who are enjoying their instruments and accessories.  Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm with us!!  Let us know if you have photo's or comments about the projects you are working on or instruments we have built.  We have many excellent photo's from customers that we haven't had a chance to upload yet, thanks for your patience!  We will be organizing this page into categories winter 08'.   You may also check out our feedback from our Ebay store.

The little Reverie has arrived.  The workmanship is wonderful, and the harp is just beautiful.  I love the woods.  It sounds incredible.   I've tried three of the tunings, but not the Zen.  I like the Reverie tuning best, but the Moon and Stars is quite nice also.  I broke two strings and visited our favorite music store for replacements.  The owner and the clerk who waited on us were quite interested in the Reverie.  I gave them the background story.  The little harp is exactly as described and pictured, and it sounds exactly like the clips.  This really surprised us.  Buying sight unseen usually leaves room for some "surprises!"   D.H.

I really, really like the cherry flute I just bought (on ebay). I'm
an average-size woman, and this fits my hands much better than the
Sweet flute (in D). I also like the embouchure design, I think the
thinned wood & the slanted edge gives good articulation & note
clarity. My husband also admires how you used decorative flares to
strengthen typical weak points (like the end & the joints). It has
nice tone, and plays easily.  M.M.

I just received the two recorder bags in the mail today.  They are great!  You are a gifted craftswoman.  Thank you very much for your rapid response and attention to detail. Thanks again.  George

The bag arrived today - Mon. Apr. 9.  Thanks so much!   And for your information, I bought this for a "pocket sax" (an ABS plastic xaphoon in the key of C) - it's 13" long with the protective cap on the mouthpiece and it fits perfectly!  The length of the bag is actually longer than the advertised description so it does cover the whole instrument comfortably.  I am very pleased!!  Thanks again!  Susanne

My husband has finished, sanded, and assembled the butternut hammered dulcimer stand and I love it!  The angle of play takes the pain out of my back and I like the looks of it as well. thanks for a great product. My husband enjoyed doing it as well. jo ann

I received your beautiful harp desk shortly after you said you were sending it.  It fits perfectly on my Dusty Strings harp.  I attended the Harp conference in Banff this past weekend and the harp desk was one of the most talked about things there.  I had someone come up to me just before the ensemble performance who said “Oh that’s your harp.”  She told me that she kept hearing people say things like “oh you have to go see the music stand on the harp in room 110”. Thanks,  J.R.

Thanks for your note.We received the rosettes in good order.
I am now about to finish the third coat with semi-gloss polyurethane.
Hopefully next week, we will start the stringing procedure.
Your directions are excellent, and I have had no problems putting the kit
 together.  Jim

I picked up the harp this morning.  I unpacked it and tuned it by early afternoon.  It's beautiful.  Even my husband and children think its pretty neat.   I look forward to playing beautiful music on this beautiful instrument.  Thanks for your friendly communication throughout this whole process of purchasing and receiving this harp.   Karen

 Greetings Debbie,
I played the Reverie at the Medieval Days at our Botannical Gardens.  I wore my Celtic dress and strolled among the people or sat in the gardens playing.  People were very receptive, asking what it was, how it was played, etc.  The children just loved it when I let them play - so did the adults.  People loved the sound and the beauty of the instrument itself.  At least two people had a family member in music therapy and were eager to get the information on the Reverie to them.  It was just a fun afternoon.  Brian even played some.  It fit in perfectly with the time period.  I am now adding the Reverie to my Hammer Dulcimer performance flyer.  I've attached a picture from the Botannical Gardens.  You definitely have a customer who is loving and enjoying the Reverie.  Take care.  Darlene

KIT BUILDER:

Mike,  Just a short note to tell you how pleased I am with the Voyager Harp Kit that I recently purchased from Heritage Music !   The Harp was very easy to build and I am thrilled with the quality of the finished instrument !  This has to be the best Harp Kit on the Market due to it’s simple design yet powerful resonant sound !  The clarity and volume of the harp is amazing.  I was a little skeptical about the quality of a acoustic instrument being built from a kit, but I can honestly say that in it’s class, I don’t think I could find a better harp anywhere.

The experience I had with Heritage Music from the first time I made Contact until now has been top notch and I wouldn’t think twice about ordering from you again or recommending you to my friends!  Thanks for proving such a great instrument at such great value !

SCRATCH BUILDER:  Henk in Ontario has sent us photo's of his first harp built from Limerick blueprints and also has a great idea for knee bones.   We love hearing from our customers and enjoy seeing pictures of your projects - let us know if you have a story, comments, pictures, or ideas to add to our customer pages.

Here she is Debbie. Sorry, I should have trimmed the ends of the strings. If you want to use these for publication, go right ahead. I  sure have had fun making this one from scratch. Both the cherry and walnut were harvested here on Manitoulin Island some 30 years ago,  and I have stored it all these years waiting for a worthwhile  project. This is the first music instrument I ever made. I have a
feeling that I have caught the bug.
Cheers,
Henk

I also have made a knee support that you and your customers may be  interested in. You see, Tini has had a knee replacement and when I  first made the knee bone for her the dowel-like ends were causing her pain.
So I made another contraption. It consists of two flat pieces of wood  attached to each side of a dowel. Those pieces rests on her thighs.
Instead of the knee bone I clamped  a strip of wood onto the harp  that has a groove on the bottom that fits the dowel. Voilá, the harp  rests on her lap comfortably and it can freely pivot to and fro.  Another benefit is that we now don't have two pieces of wood sticking  outside of the harp and less chance of inadvertently hitting it.

A Great idea! - thanks to Henk & Tini for sending this in!
